Car's R Me

Well, this is Bens fault, as we were talking about what cars we would love, hate & how many ~ got me thinking... so, a list of all the cars & Motorbikes I have owned. I think that there are a few missing ,age you know, dead brain cells. I need to take further advice or look for old pics. But beware, there is a Motor Bike Page coming, I have written the list of bikes... Order of purchase, top, right, down left then right bla bla bla...

First ever car, a Singer Chamoise - bit like a hillman Imp but not. Got it then sprayed it blue - wot a bodge job, it looked like a blue orange.

So, not sure what happened next, have i missed some cars or what? anyway, got this Cortina mk4 of big brother, nice motor to be honest, quite posh!

I knew I had had a Vauxhall, it was a white Cavalier, I remembered that the reg had POP in it, funny as we were running a pub at the time. Did some miles in it, but remember coming back from France and the bloody CV joint went - what a pig to fix on a pub car park!

As Del Boy said, get the Capri Ghia out.. another motor bought of my brother, silver. Had to sell it 1st wedding fter my sister wrote “get your nuts out for xmas” in shaving foam 0 never bloody came off, so sold it on a wet day.

Another work car, Peugeot 405 estate. OK car, good for work. Had to buy it when business went down the pan.

Citroen BX (Silver) - what a bloody car, I dont know what to say really, floated like a turd on water - up - down - up - down. F**cks sake, well, it got written off in a rear end shunt - but hey, bought another one but in White!! Twat.

Ford Probe ~ very much based on the cars they drive in the states, I loved the shape, colour, pop up lights, shape, colour.......... whose the girl?

Loved it when I got this Grand Cherokee, it was a great car, did some miles in it and carried some crap about. Switzerland loads of times. But man, did it cost to run... 26 mpg, it had to go.

Audi A3 S Line sport back. Great car, only had it 18 months but was really nice, only got rid because of getting the XF - Lynne gave me a little bit towards it, very kind is she. Would have another Audi, in fact I do like the Q7 and Q5.. you never know

Then things got better, Triumph Toledo 1500 TC. I spent a shed load on this - twin webbers, re-spray (proper job) new seats, wood steering wheel, tailored carpets... wow it was cool.

Now then, took some thought to get this one out from the dark depths of my brain. But I remember having it when I started work with Steve. pigging car always had a flat battery, so got rid.

Ford Escort Estate - Cooool, no it wasn’t, but hey ho, it was a works car soo cant complain. I got from A>B and managed a long week in Scotland (with baby Ben) - not totaly true because Steve drove the car and we took the van - Silver b4 you say white-van-man.

Chances are there is a car missing prior to this - need to think hard. Another Peugeot, this ones a 309, red. Not a bad looking car. I do remember selling it with all the sensors disconnected.

Citroen Xantia ~ now this was nice, wanted one as soon as they came out, sort of finished the Citroen era in my life. Bit of an add on to part chopping the BX, we drove to the garage, but 1 mile away i had to get out, disconnect EMS, temp leads and a bulb... Would you buy a car of this man?

Ford Cougar ~ like it, like it.. as a successor to the probe it was a great move. First car i ever had with air-con, after driving to southern France in the Probe it was essential.

Always wanted a Jag, ever since i drove Denis’s who owned the pub, this wasn’t quite the XJ but very nice non the less. X Types was built on the Ford Mondeo chassis,so handling was good. Usual Jag refinements inside. Just loads of milage that had me sell it.

Possibly the best car I have owned, and some think its the best car of 2009/10.. Jaguar XF 2.7 premium luxury. What a nice drive, inside is to die for - you could live in it... some weeks I feel as though I am!
